Mendelbrot – my hero – dies at the age of 85

He should have won more recognition for his contribution to complexity, fluid dynamics, the power law and it’s application in finance and last but not least computer graphics.
All of these came about the phenomenon that were being followed by a lot of mathematicians like Koch, Hilbert and others and also by artists all through the history but was identified as mathematical fact. This fact is discovered and also named as fractal by Benoit Mendelbrot.
Here in his own words fractals – TED talk by Mendelbrot.
What a discovery!
